Paris (21~22 Apr. 2013)

Accidentally, I got to Paris. I decided to come here last week just because there's an old friend in college Kuan-Ju Chen was here to study in Le Cordon Bleu. Anyway, here I was. By train THA, I didn't know that the THA series need reservation, so I can only took the next one that I reserved later..........

The train THA series needs to reserve the seat or you won't be able to get on.

station Paris Nord

different from Germany, the subway in France has gate before get in.

the place wait for Kuan-Ju.

He hasn't set things down.

After finishing the lunch, we went to Le Marais (just like Eastern Taipei) for a shopping.

it looks delicious~~!!!

Uh............sorry I forgot the name of it.....

A lot of people were there in Sunday

the bakery was so different~~!!

crowded!!!

Uh..................Middle-Finger Toy~~~~XDDD it was expensive, though.

Walking through the Le Marais, you'll see Centre Pompidou. The decoration outside looks like it was under construction which in fact it wasn't!!!  Because of the time, I didn't get in there.

Finally, I saw Notre Dame just in front of me. I love the musical Notre-Dame de Paris very much, so I really want to see the church! Unfortunately, too many people waiting in line for getting up the tower, so I didn't get in. I believe I'll do it next time I come.

Notre Dame

See!!! people people everywhere....

Kuan-Ju and I

Walking along the Seine river from Notre Dame, you'll see Louvre soon. I didn't get in because of the time, but I believe I'll be in it next time. Oh~ the glass pyramid in front of the Louvre was bigger than I thought!!

Btw, the Seine was very pretty and romantic! At least under this kind of wonderful weather...!!

There were so many old bookstalls along Seine.

The glass pyramid in front of Louvre is the main entrance to the museum.

moon~~!
Walking pass through the Louvre, I got Opéra de Paris. The color outside was bright that it showed the noble of it.

Opéra de Paris

a Starbucks next to Opéra de Paris, you'll see the interesting part of this store

inside the Starbucks

See!!!!It's Starbucks!!!!

Next stop, arc de Triomphe. I watched the arch and suddenly really felt the glory and the triumph of it.

road away from the arc de Triomphe

Hurry!!! Went to Tour Eiffel. The tower was so~~~~high and the scenery next to it was also romantic that it was really a good place to go with the one you love. Since it was too expensive and needed to take a long line to get up the tower, I didn't get up in the end. Maybe next time I come, I'll choose a work day to come and get on it. I'm sure I'll see a totally different Paris.

people lining up to get up

Musée National De La Marine, Musée national des Monuments Français, and Jardins du Trocadéro
just across the bridge in front of the Eiffel Tower and you'll see it.

Me, Eiffel Tower, and the moon~~

After that, we went back to eat a Thai Restaurant, which was so~~~~great!!! It was the end of the day.

The next morning, a special day, because I went to attend a class in Le Cordon Bleu with Kuan-Ju, an experience that not many people can have!!!! So interesting!!!!!!!! The classroom most looks just like a cram school but the different part is that there's a kitchen in it. The Chef was cute, and it reminded me the home economics class in high school. Although it was only a demo class, which means we only seat in class and watch the demonstration from Chef, it was still a great experience I've ever had.

P.S. the practical class was in the afternoon which I couldn't attend.

inside the class

products made by the Chef

it called mushroom~~

I gotta say, Mickey was really ugly and the shoe was broken....... quite a pity.

I forgot the name of it.

The products made by Chef. It was very sweet...........so many sugar in it....@@

After the class, we went to have lunch and bought some ingredients preparing for the dinner. Then I went to Château de Versailles while Kuan-Ju attended the practical class. I really like Château de Versailles. It was a wonderful place to go if you have time since the view was so~~~~ great!!!! The time was limited, so I only took a walk though the garden behind the palace. The garten was incredibly large that I couldn't walk through all of it in 2 hours... I decided to come next time. In my opinion, if anyone wants to go, you should spare about 4~5 hours, because it worth.

the station Versailles - Château

Mairie de Verseilles next to the staiton

Here's one thing, the road here was all straight everywhere, so you can barely see the end of the road...... really!!!

there was a flock of sheep and horses living next to the garden!!!!!!

Soon, it was in the evening, time to go home and started cooking dinner!!!! Kuan-Ju and I decided to eat steak for dinner. This was my first time to fry beef, so I asked Kuan-Ju to teach me. In fact, it wasn't that hard!!!! Maybe I could do it myself next time at home~~~XDDDD

fry onions

End product~~ There's Thai fried rice and pumpkin soup made by microwave. Oh~ the water on the right was sparkling water. I think that I'm getting used to the sparkling water~~XDD

After visiting in Paris, I found that I like Germany better because the safety. In Germany, most of the time you can enjoy the trip without too much attention to your own property, but in Paris, you can't. Another thing, the train system in Germany is much better than France. The trains are cleaner, and the stations are brighter. But the good thing is that the sign in the station is also very clear in France, too.
My journey in France is over, short but great.

Au revoir, Paris. See you next time~!
