Taking S-Bahn only less than 40 minutes to get Potsdam from Berlin Hbf. In Potsdam, the most famous attraction is Schloss Sanssouci. If you come here to visit by yourself, you can feel "sonssouci" truly. "Sanssouci" is Franch, which means "without worries". It was built in 1745~1747 by Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. It's a building with Rococo style. In Park Sanssouci, there are so many other palaces to see, so if you come, you can spend a whole day here in this park.

On the north side of Brandenburger Straße, you'll get Holländisches Viertel, means the Holland area. The buildings here are quite different from Germany. Although I haven't been to Holland, but I believe it must be very charming!

The decorations of this room is very special!! |

Next to Schloss Sanssoucci is a windmill. Actually it was the first time that I was so close to the windmill!!
Along Western side, you'll see a palace called Orangerie.

Next, I went to visit the one I've said before, the Chinesisches Teehaus. But actually the decorations are totally different from the true Chinese........ Only the "things" is true, but the style was far from the truth!

It's another building in front of Neuen Palais. Do you know what it is? |
|
Kolonnade am Neuen Palais, which means campus in Neuen Palais.
Campus? The "campus" in school?
Yes, definitely! Can you believe it's part of Universität Potsdam!!!???

Potsdam is a nice and quiet place to go if you have enough visiting in Berlin, such a noisy and big city. So if you want a peaceful and silent day when you're in Berlin, Potsdam will be a good choice.
